2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament

April 9, 2013 — (San Francisco, CA): After a successful, first, sell out event last year, Drew Gooden decided to make his celebrity golf tournament an annual event. Now with his own, growing foundation, he has chosen for the event to benefit the Drew Gooden Foundation and his hometown favorite, the Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area Chapter. Drew is passionate about giving back and likes to incorporate MAW into anything he does. The tournament will be held on June 24, 2013 at the stunning Round Hill Country Club, where it will showcase NBA, NFL, MLB, entertainers and VIPS that day.

“I’m excited for my second year doing this! Anytime I can put together an event to give back, I am all in”, says Gooden. “This is my 11th year in the NBA and philanthropy has became a part of my life. It’s important to be able to utilize your star power for the greater good”.

This event is open to the public, and prices are $500 to play on a foursome with a celebrity or $1,200 to form your own foursome without a celebrity. There will be a celebrity putting contest and ticket prices also include continental breakfast, lunch, beverages throughout the day, a post celebrity cocktail reception and a bag of goodies to leave with. Drew Gooden Returns to Lineup

With Milwaukee playing exceptionally well, it’s been tough for Drew Gooden to find himself any consistency in the lineup.

However, Gooden was given a chance to play some significant minutes for the first time since February 6th, when he played 12 minutes in a game at Utah in which the Bucks lost 100-86.

On Tuesday, the Bucks faced off in an inter-conference matchup against the Dallas Mavericks and were able to come away with the 95-90 victory. Gooden played a key role in the game shooting 4-9 from the floor, scoring eight points, and grabbing two rebounds in 16 minutes on the court.

Gooden, who hadn’t played in six game and sat out 15 of the previous 16, was also the Milwaukee TV crew’s selection for the interview at halftime before heading into the locker room.
